For over 60 years Crowley has been supplying the remote villages of Western Alaska and the Arctic with heating fuel and gasoline so they can survive the winter. From the onset of spring through summer, our purpose-built tug and barge sets make their way up the Western coast of Alaska, up the rivers into the interior, and over the top to the Arctic.

In early fall we bring the boats back and put them away for the winter. This is truly a seasonal fleet, so all our crew members enjoy an extended winter break before coming back to work in the spring. The following benefits are available after completing a 90-day probation period:

Specifically, we're looking for:
Able Seamen with the Tankerman PIC (Barge) endorsement and multi-cargo tanking experience.

We actively promote from within our fleet, so every year we have room for two or three less skilled, entry-level mariners. Please submit your application to our talent pool. Job Description:

Seasonal work in Alaska from Spring to Fall with 2 Week Break. This is not a rotational position.

Crowley is seeking an AB/Tankerman for our Western Alaska Fleet.

Required:
MMC with any AB Endorsement
STCW Basic Training
Tankerman PIC (Barge)
TWIC
Basic Safety
RADAR Certificate w/ARPA

Preferred:
Western Alaska Sailing Experience
Multi-cargo barge experience
Hazwoper
Enjoy long hitches

Travel paid to/from US home
10 days paid time off (One paid round trip ticket)
