Job Description:

The Nebraska Department of Administrative Services is looking to hire two part-time Supply Technician II positions.

As a Supply Technician II, under general supervision from the Surplus Property Manager, you will help manage and assist with all warehouse operations and the quality assurance program for all incoming surplus material from all state agencies, boards and commissions.

Job duties



Develop and maintain inventory control systems; develop and implement a quality assurance program for warehouse operations. Responsible for assisting in posting auction items, tagging items with Asset ID number. Assists in scheduling and dispatching of deliveries and pick-ups from state agencies. Supervision of detail workers Maintains a perpetual inventory of all surplus stored in the warehouse. Supervision of maintenance on equipment and warehouse building. Acts as liaison between Surplus Property and customers regarding specific information on auction items, Deliveries/pick-ups. etc.



Requirements / Qualifications




Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience in inventory, warehouse, material supply or other closely related field.



Preferred Qualifications: One year warehouse experience. Possess excellent customer service. Forklift certified.



Other: This position requires travel. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver's license or another form of reliable transportation.


Regular and reliable attendance is required.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



Any combination of training and/or experience that will enable the incumbent to possess the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school education, must be comfortable working on computers, working with people. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be willing to become forklift certified.
