Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work remotely with our client. This Senior Project Scheduler will manage project schedules for Nuclear Development projects, collaborating with stakeholders, identifying risks, using scheduling software, leading strategy meetings, integrating schedules, and preparing detailed reports on variations and impacts. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.



Pay rate: $57.13 - $79.31

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules for Nuclear Development projects, incorporating all project phases from initiation to completion.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather all necessary data for accurate scheduling.

  • Identify potential schedule risks, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines are adhered to.

  • Utilize scheduling software to create visual aids, Gantt charts, and other tools to report progress to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Lead scheduling strategy meetings and provide expert advice on schedule optimization, adjustments, and potential impacts of changes.

  • Ensure integration of schedules across multiple projects and disciplines, promoting a cohesive approach to project execution.

  • Conduct scenario analysis and planning for best-case, probable-case, and worst-case scenarios.

  • Prepare reports for analyzing variations and comparing baseline approved schedules to progress schedules, including critical path method, resource loading, cost loading, manpower, submittals, projections of impacts, and recovery plans.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project scheduling, with at least 4 years focused on large-scale, mega projects.

  • Advanced knowledge in work management and outage work processes and procedures.

  • Advanced knowledge of the Passport program and database, including the interface to the Primavera scheduling program.

  • Advanced knowledge of the Primavera scheduling program and basic scheduling techniques.

  • Primavera 106 Training Certification or four years of experience using Primavera Scheduling software.

  • Working knowledge of report development software (e.g., Crystal Reports) and database analysis.

  • Working knowledge of the outage risk management and on-line risk management software (Paragon).

  • PMP certification.

  • Working knowledge of management techniques (e.g., situational leadership, performance management, time management, etc.).

  • Experience directly related to life cycle construction projects with a strong understanding of the engineering, procurement, and construction processes.

  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 is mandatory.

  • Strong understanding of project management processes, EVM (Earned Value Management), and risk management.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex schedules and scenarios clearly.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with personnel at all organizational levels.

  • Experience in the nuclear industry, renewable energy, or construction is highly desirable.
