We are seeking to add a motivated Molding Operator/Inspector to our team, on 2nd shift. The Molding Operator/Inspector is responsible for producing machined parts by operating a molding machine. This position will also inspect the product produced and determine if it is acceptable and meets quality specifications. The second shift works Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

What will you do?

On any give day, your responsibilities would include:

• Operating an injection molding machine
• Operating a blending machine and combining raw pellets together
• Working from drawings, blueprints, sketches, verbal or written instructions, work orders and process sheets
• Reporting defective materials, scrap, quality problems, or any other unusual condition or circumstance to technician and/or supervisor immediately
• Filling machine hoppers
• Maintaining personal production and quality standards as determined by supervision
• Maintaining records and other pertinent data as instructed or required
• Inspecting products for surface defects and flaws
• Positioning and securing threaded cores and/or overmolds into mold
• Following established procedures as well as quality and safety standards

You are a great fit if you have the following:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; 1-3 years' manufacturing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Versatility required to perform many and varied assembly and soldering operations manually
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers (preferred)

Additional Characteristics:

• This position works as both an individual and in a team environment
• This position may require standing for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours per day
• This position requires the ability to lift 25-55 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently
• This position may be exposed to various industrial cleaning chemicals and oils
