We are looking for the right individual to join our team as a Tool Builder. This exciting role is responsible for building molds for the molding machines per the molding schedule, operating molding machines and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

What will you do?

On any given day, your responsibilities would include:


  • Building molds for molding machines by assembling tooling components into the mold bases per the blueprint instructions
  • Performing inspection of mold bases and components
  • Following blueprint when selecting appropriate molds and components
  • Consulting and following the production schedule for molds to be built
  • Using measurement tools i.e. snap gage, digital calipers, and other measuring instruments
  • Organizing and maintaining the tool storage area
  • Coordinating tool repairs with the tool shop
  • Assisting with preventive maintenance (PM) of the tools and mold bases
  • Operating molding machines as needed
  • Disassembling and cleaning molds at end of run and returning components to appropriate locations
  • Following established procedures as well as quality and safety standards

You are a great fit if you have the following:


  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • A demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in the use of hand tools i.e.. screwdriver, hammer, drill, wrench
  • Good organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with measuring equipment i.e. snap gage, digital calipers, and other measuring instruments
  • Team player who works in cooperation with others
  • HS Degree or GED
  • 1+ years manufacturing experience preferred

Work Environment:


  • Continuously required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to walk, bend, carry, push/pull
  • Continuously required to use fine motor skills
  • Frequently required to lift/carry objects up to 25 pounds
  • May be required to push, pull and use assisted lift objects of up to 50 pounds
  • Hearing, seeing ability to include depth perception, peripheral vision and rapid mental coordination
