JOB TITLE: Product Line Specialist


JOB SUMMARY:


Product Line Specialists(PLS)contribute to commercial excellence through business analysis, pricing management, product line process improvements, and supporting the eCommerce digital platform. PLS will work to reduce complexity and optimize business processes. Acts as thought partners to product managers on product strategy and work to create and standardize best practices.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Generating and maintaining price lists by product line, generating new product codes, executing on price increases, and maintaining the product price integrity
  • Implementing and generating eCommerce & digital product information platform with the support of the digital product content and eCommerce team



  • Supports the development of pricing strategy for new and existing productsincluding but not limited to:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely execution of pricing policy, drivingthe vision and purpose of respectivepolicies into daily decisions and projects
  • Responsible for managing all specialpricing agreements (RSA's), dashboards, and reporting:
  • Perform analysis on the effectiveness of pricing agreements and the overall product line
  • Collaborate with product manager on financials (profitability) and strategy relating product line(s).



  • Maintains a database of competitors'pricingand offering
  • Creation, management and distribution of pricing files (PPIF)
  • Responsible for pricing bids, including those that are target markets, end users, segment considerations, and strategic accounts
  • Collects,tracks and reports price optimization effectiveness and makes suggestions oneffectiveness of programming

  • Collaborates with Product Manager and Engineering to determine what action is required to correct field problems arising out of product failure,quality, or customer service.



  • Able to independently propose and execute pricing strategies thattake into accountboth Garlock's and customer's objectives.
  • Maintains accurate records of all correspondence received and sent, including(but not limited to):formal and informal quotations, internal memos, instructions, sales orders, technical data
  • Able to identify inefficiencies and improve on processes.
  • Ability to teach, support other functions or productlines
  • Demonstrated willingness to share knowledge and coach/mentorpeers



  • Training with new customer service and salesreps.
  • Assist with Product development and new business opportunities.
  • Works on several improvement projects that each year that are either process or pricing oriented.
  • Coordinates with operations planners to align quotes and orders with accurate lead times
  • Has deep and more developed ability to understand the overall business from both a commercial and operationalperspective.



  • Ability to cross boundaries of responsibility with confidence - sales, technical support, quoting, deep understanding of manufacturingcapabilities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Skilled in extracting and analyze complex data and strong communication / customer-facingskills
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills



  • Extremely comfortable working with computers using a variety of applications in a windows environment.Suitableknowledge of Excel and its functionalities to generate data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with ERP system and pricing management highly desired
  • Ability to perform multiple functions in a fast-paced working environment.


WORKING CONDITIONS: Office and manufacturing environment with occasional travel. Hybrid home - office working model based on performance and company policies.

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $56,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Enpro offers a range of benefits including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.
