LOCATION: King Hanger, F&I Shop, Eglin AFB, FL – On Site

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervises the T-2 Aircraft Modifications shops at King Hangar, Building 100 and fabrication work at the Fabrication and Instrumentation (F&I) shop consisting of electronic technicians and machinists. Reports to the Range Support Section Manager. Has overall responsibility for the safe operation of welding, CNC machinery, and electronic fabrication. Will be required to exercise independent judgment and is responsible for the coordination and safety of assigned personnel in the shop. Require practical application of knowledge of the details of the fabrication process. Required to prioritize work and exercised independent judgment in resolving problems that arise. Responsible for assuring safe operations and communicating with personnel assigned, customers and leadership. Responsible for all aspects of shop control and safety.

GENERAL DUTIES: Reporting to a higher-level Technical Support Supervisor, Section Manager or Director, this position supervises 2-3 fabrication shops of up to 30 people consisting of electronic technicians, machinist, and other technicians in the development and production of T-2 Aircraft Wiring Modifications, Electronic devices, prototype manufactured parts and test support stands.

  • Responsible for planning and scheduling work, ensuring timely delivery and tracking and/or ordering materials.
  • Coordinates directives with other sections within the contract with government representatives. Responsible to ensure that employees are trained and qualified to perform the fabrication work.
  • Manages and tracks labor, materials, and completion dates on multiple directives through PIMS. Ensures safety and occupational health standards are met in the work environment.
  • Coordinates training for individuals assigned to ensure cross-utilization goals are met.
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations and company regulations.
  • In addition, this supervisor ensures effective employee relations; provides employee coaching and development; resolves employee issues through problem resolution; balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas; manages site performance measures and provides regular progress reports to manager; manages department priorities; tracks absenteeism and time-keeping.

OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas. May also be required to work at other locations, when requested. Occasional TDY/travel may be required.



Job Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Seven years applicable supervisory experience is required. Must have a detailed working knowledge of fabrication work, such as electronic assembly, welding, and machining. Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel to develop reports and spreadsheets. Must have excellent organizational skills. Must have proven organizational leadership experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position may function in a variety of environmental conditions both inside and outside, depending on mission requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal. May require sitting for long periods of time. Some lifting of up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, stooping and climbing may be required.
