Job Description:

A growing innovative FinTech, eCommerce company, that provides brand name durable goods to consumers on a lease-to-own (LTO) basis through its ecommerce marketplace and LTO payment method. It also provides LTO technology platforms to retailers and e-tailers to enter transactions with consumers who want to obtain durable goods, but do not have the available cash or credit.

Onsite five days a week.

Position Summary

The Compliance Escalation Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our lease-to-own and lending operations adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position involves monitoring and evaluating compliance issues, providing guidance and support to operational teams, and assisting in the development and implementation of compliance programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Investigations and Issue Resolution:
  • Investigate compliance-related complaints and issues.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Respond to external compliance-related complaints within allotted timeframes
  • Policy Development and Implementation:
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of compliance policies to ensure they reflect current regulations and best practices.
  • Training and Education:
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees.
  • Provide ongoing support and education to staff on compliance-related matters.
  • Compliance Audits and Reviews:
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports on audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory bodies as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management and the board of directors.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry, preferably in lease-to-own or lending sectors.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory issues clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
