Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner - Westgate Community Health Center, West Palm Beach, FL.

The family nurse practitioner is responsible for providing primary care to clients and families at the Florida Atlantic University/Northwest Community Health Alliance Community Health Center (FAU/NCHA/CHC). The primary care services are offered at the FAU/NCHA/CHC sites and mobile partner locations in Palm Beach County. The family nurse practitioner is actively involved as a provider of primary care and in the coordination of patient care in order to ensure continuity of the clients' health. The family nurse practitioner serves as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students enrolled at the FAU Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  Serves as a preceptor for students in the nurse practitioner concentrations for family nurse practitioner and adult gerontological nurse practitioners while providing primary care to patients across the lifespan in the clinic and mobile health unit settings.

  Participates in the client's plan of care, interdisciplinary team meetings, mobile health unit committee meetings when necessary.

  Discusses findings as needed with attending physician, consulting staff, and interprofessional medical service providers.

  Oversees administrative services relevant to FNP practices.

  
  


• 
  

  Other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree from an accredited institution in Nursing; or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Nursing and two years of appropriate experience required.


Licensed as a registered nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statues, or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Section 210, Florida Administrative Code required.


Preferred Qualifications/Skills:


Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.


Advanced Practice (APRN) license in Florida.


Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification- board certified.


Two years of experience as FNP.
Salary:$90,000 - $100,000 per year.

Work Days and Hours:Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Occasional Saturdays for health outreaches.
