Job Description: IBM Sterling Integration Analyst

Overview:

An IBM Sterling Integration Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining integrations using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and related technologies. This role involves working closely with business and IT teams to ensure seamless data exchanges between internal systems and external trading partners, optimizing business processes and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Integration Design and Development:
  • Design and develop integration solutions using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
  • Create and configure maps, business processes, and communication protocols to support various data exchange requirements.
  • Ensure integration solutions meet business needs and adhere to best practices and standards.
  1. Implementation and Maintenance:
  • Deploy integration solutions and perform necessary configurations in production environments.
  • Monitor and maintain integration processes to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and system connectivity.
  1. Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to gather and understand integration requirements.
  • Collaborate with external trading partners to establish and maintain B2B connections.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure system compatibility and integration stability.
  1. Testing and Validation:
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate integration solutions.
  • Perform unit testing, system testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • Address and resolve any issues identified during testing phases.
  1. Documentation and Training:
  • Document integration designs, processes, and configurations for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and other team members on integration processes and tools.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation to reflect system changes and enhancements.
  1. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Monitor integration processes to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Optimize integration solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce latency, and ensure scalability.
  • Implement best practices for data security and compliance within integration processes.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on the latest features and updates of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and related technologies.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve integration processes and solutions.
  • Participate in relevant training and professional development activities.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in EDI/B2B integration, with a strong focus on IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
  • Certifications: IBM Sterling B2B Integrator certification is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficient in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, including map development, business process design, and communication protocol configuration.
  • Strong understanding of EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT) and related technologies.
  • Experience with IBM Sterling Integrator 6
  • Strong EDI Experience
  • UNIX Shell Scripting Experience
  • Exposure to IBM Sterling Connect is a plus
  • Exposure to SAP is a plus
  • Solid Middleware experience
  • Experience with XML, XSLT, SQL, and scripting languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple integration projects and priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
