Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Manager in Madison, AL. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's quality assurance operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining high product quality.
Responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Manager include:
Directing the overall quality assurance operations of the company.
Monitoring compliance with QA standards and procedures within the production department.
Conducting quality assurance training for Quality Department employees.
Recommending methods to enhance product quality, design, or manufacturing processes.
Supervising quality assurance engineers, specialists, and inspectors.
Establishing and overseeing the Internal Audit Program.
Coordinating Management Reviews related to quality operations.
Overseeing the Quality Improvement Program for corrective and preventive actions.
Maintaining a quality program compliant with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
Updating the quality assurance program to include statistical control programs.
Developing and maintaining a supplier quality index to ensure high-quality vendor retention.
Meeting with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to resolve quality issues.
Preparing necessary reports for customers and staff.
Leading AS9100/ISO9001 and NADCAP finishes audits/certifications.
Ensuring compliance with AWS weld specifications, including WPS/PQR creation, mapping, and welder certifications.
Job Requirements of a Quality Assurance Manager:
Required Experience and Education:
Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) and manufacturing environment.
Active Secret-level security clearance.
Strong knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
High school diploma with 6+ years of experience or BA/BS with 3+ years of experience.
Preferred Experience:
BS/BA with 6+ years of experience.
ASQ Certified Manager of Quality is highly desired.
Working Environment:
Indoor work environment with potential exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work. Periodic travel to satellite sites may be required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, and handle light to medium weights (10-50 pounds). Good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, and visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
Travel:
Travel may be required to supplier locations.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
