We are looking for someone to join the delievery partner team.
As a Tunnel Estimator, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate and detailed estimates for tunnel construction, excavation, and other related activities on a large-scale underground transit project. Your extensive experience in tunnel estimating and cost estimating, along with a strong understanding of tunneling methods and technologies, will be crucial to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain precise and detailed estimates for tunnel construction, excavation, and related activities.
Prepare estimates for bids, proposals, and change orders.
Collaborate with project engineers, designers, and contractors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of estimates.
Conduct site visits to gather information and data necessary for estimating.
Develop and maintain detailed estimating templates and spreadsheets.
Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams on cost estimating and budgeting.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to cost estimating.
Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in tunnel estimating.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in cost estimating, including at least 5 years in tunnel estimating.
Strong understanding of tunneling methods and technologies.
You must know HSCC software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
