Translates engineering requirements into product definition data (e.g., detail, assembly and installation drawings, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) data, Bill of Material (BOM) etc.) to communicate requirements to downstream customers. Validates completed product definition data to Company and industry standards. Creates and maintains product definition data processes. Maintains product/part structure and configuration management of product components. Translates sketches, layouts, and written specifications of engineering requirements into product definition data (e.g., detail, assembly and installation drawings, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) data, parts list or Bill of Material (BOM) etc.) based on applicable standards and established precedents. Performs self-validation of product defintion data to ensure the accuracy of completed work.
Required Skills:
Completed a 2-year design degree (or close to completion).
1 + years of experience in CATIA, CAD, Novia
Relevant course material on the operations needed to create a 3D model (Solidworks, CATIA, other 3D software)
Relevant course material on using 2D/3D dimensioning to define 3D parts.
Soft skills to communicate and coordinate with Engineering and other stakeholders.
Note: First 2-3 months they will be expected to be in office every day of the week (during training).
Preferred:
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Software certifications.
Mechanically inclined (experience with machines, working on cars etc..)
Has a passion for the aerospace industry, passion, or design.
