This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA.
Team Information:
The Ads Ranking team is responsible for AI models and infrastructure in the Marketing Solutions business ($5.5B+) at LinkedIn. The team works on diverse infrastructure problems across deep-learning inference with tight SLAs, end-to-end signal latency for content embeddings, large scale (1B+ param) model training, near-real-time signal gathering and low-latency systems for model inference.
We are seeking a Senior Engineer who has experience designing, building, implementing and optimizing both machine learning infrastructure and models.
Responsibilities:
Solve cutting-edge ML/AI infrastructure problems that empower large & small businesses to reach, engage, and convert professional audiences at scale.
Design and develop solutions involving large amounts of data, and multiple interconnected ML inference and data systems
Write production quality code and influence the next generation of LinkedIn's engineering solutions.
Build scalable innovations while working closely with horizontal teams including foundational AI and AI platform / infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related technical discipline, or related practical experience.
2+ years experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
2+ years experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of highly relevant professional experience
Well-versed with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
General experience with the training and deployment of models
Experience working with streaming solutions (Kafka, Samza, etc.)
MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
Working with large scale online/distributed infrastructure

Compensation:
LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $156,000-$210,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
