The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all job site construction activities, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful and timely completion of individual building projects. We are looking for a proactive team player with outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
Core Responsibilities:
Subcontractor Management: Schedule, coordinate, and supervise all on-site subcontractors.
Project Coordination: Manage construction activities to meet schedule requirements.
Reporting: Prepare and submit daily reports to the Project Manager.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and RFIs.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship.
Safety Management: Implement and manage the safety program, ensuring OSHA compliance.
Inspections: Coordinate inspections with local building departments.
Relationship Management: Foster positive relationships with the Project Manager, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Required Skills:
Blueprint Literacy: Proficient in reading plans and specifications.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively use phone calls, emails, and texts.
Leadership: Strong leadership and time management skills.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Safety Certification: OSHA safety certification is preferred; training can be provided if necessary.
Industry Experience: Experience in various types of commercial construction, such as retail, convenience stores, car washes, churches, educational facilities, automotive, etc., is a plus.
Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation
