Position: Master Scheduler

Location: Norwalk, OH (First Shift Direct Hire)

Salary: $75-95K based on the quality of the interview in relation to the job description

Area of Expertise (Master Production Scheduling or Supply Chain Production Planning in Materials Management, Logistics and Automotive Manufacturing Tier 1/2 or OEM Industries)

Summary:

The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum inventory. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing the plant with a weekly / monthly production plan consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast. This is to include the scheduling, coordination of work in progress (WIP) with supporting production lines / internal departments to support the overall production plan. The Master Scheduler is responsible for determining the desired inventory levels for finished goods down to the pack size including safety stock levels. The sales forecasts, new business, customer expectations, and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production plans, by week / month, for a rolling three month period. Strong collaboration with the Operations Manager, PC & L and Management Teams is critical to meeting business goals.

Day in the Life-

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • This person will be the interface between the customer requirements and company operations
  • Prepare the monthly SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Plan) to obtain a level production plan and optimize resources
  • Create a rolling 3-month Master Production Plan for designated products. Utilize the production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, and new business requirements
  • Implement and drive Master Production Scheduling (MPS) to ensure a level production plan and protect against customer fluctuations in demand.
  • Monitor, coordinate and manage Start of Production (SOP) and End of Production (EOP) for current and new customers
  • Manage, coordinate with Plant Team to develop a recovery plan to address variations in customer demand
  • Coordinate, confirm raw material, components, WIP assemblies are available to support production plan to avoid impact to operations
  • Responsible for timely SAP Parameter set-up, completion of task for the Staging Process for Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP), Sales Forecast, Work in Progress and Finished Goods

Education / Experience:
  1. Bachelor's Degree preferred in the area of Supply Chain (Materials Management, Logistics and automotive manufacturing)
  2. Minimum of five years of experience in a materials function in a manufacturing environment
  3. APICS Certification desired
  4. SAP experience required.
