SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER In Office full time position.

SAAGA, LLC is a Family Office and SEC Registered Investment Adviser based in Miami, Florida. We are a boutique firm that provides investment advice to a select group of high net worth individuals and families in the US and internationally.

The firm has an opportunity for an experienced portfolio manager to join our team, exceptional professional, with strong investment knowledge and a proven record of helping sophisticated, high net worth individuals and their families to design and implement asset allocation strategies and financial plans that meet their unique circumstances, risk tolerance, goals, and objectives. Investment advisory experience should include all aspects of the investment management process including objective setting, asset allocation and investment policy, manager/strategy selection, implementation, and on-going monitoring and evaluation.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Experience in portfolio management including investment research, balanced portfolio management, asset allocation and alternative investment strategies.
  • Manage and co-manage multi assets portfolios for individual, family and trust portfolios, based on the client's investment policy statements and investment strategies, including management of liquidity needs, traditional equity and fixed income portfolios, and alternative investments as appropriate in each situation.
  • Monitor and suggest recommended portfolio changes,
  • Conduct periodic investment meetings with clients, this may include travel for on-site meetings.
  • Develop and implement framework for identifying market opportunities within private asset subsectors, leading to relative value decisions between public and private asset allocation.
  • Ability to operate independently with a high level of direct responsibility, while maintaining strong ties to the investment team at the firm and participating actively in the development and analysis of new strategies.
  • Lead and participate in the development of investment strategies.
  • Work closely with the client external advisors' team to ensure client planning and tax goals are integrated into investment management.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of investment advisory experience working with and cultivating relationships with sophisticated clients.
  • Certified to work as an Investment Adviser Representative (Series 65, Series 7 + 66, or equivalent).
  • Experience with alternative investments and private equity investments.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing balanced portfolios for high net worth private clients.
  • Risk management and control orientation.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets. Demonstrated exposure to multiple asset classes with the ability to articulate why their strategies are important and applicable to the individual client.
  • Creative, innovative, and possess a high level of familiarity across a broad range of investment strategies and client management disciplines.
  • Strong personal and professional integrity and ethics.
  • High analytical expertise tempered by a strong relationship building mentality and interpersonal flexibility.
  • Outstanding judgment on when and how to adjust your professional style to a variety of audiences.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
