Responsibilit
ies:
Manages numerous Transmission and Distribution projects of considerable size, diversity, complexity, and
risk.Work and manage a team of skilled engineers, designers, specialists, contractors, vendors, and other project support staff/stakeho
lders.Develops project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and project team responsibilities in order to accomplish project objec
tives.Manages assigned projects, ensuring effective teamwork and communication, and the highest standards of work qu
ality.Ensure that internal and external resources with appropriate skill sets are provided, establishes commercial arrangements with consultants and contractors as required, assigns work, and provides instructions, advice and technical leadership and guidance to project
staff.Reviews work in progress and assesses completed work for accuracy, required results and quality assu
rance.Ensures that project expenditures are controlled and maint
ained.Ensure cost effective, safe and timely completion of projects that meet or exceed Internal and external (client) expecta
tions.Identify and manage project
risks.Manage scope control of pro
jects.Authorize commitments of expenditure on the project and approve payment of inv
oices.Provide leadership to the project
team.Prime interface with client and other stakeho

Qualifi
cations:
A university degree in engineering. Other professional qualifications will be considered with relevant e
xperience.10+years of working experience as a Project Manager on power related projects or similar field is considered
an asset.Working experience in principles and practices of electrical engineering as applied to design and construction of projects is
preferred.Previous experience in the utilities, renewable energy and transmission/distribution is
preferred.US Utility experience is considered
an asset.Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solvi
ng skills.Excellent communication, negotiation and interperson
al skills.Experience with industry related scheduling systems, including MS Project, and
Primavera.Experience in the use of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, P
owerPoint.Demonstrated experience in developing project execution plans an
d budgets.Experience in the preparation of proposals fo
r clients.Effective communication, organization and presentati
on skills.Requires excellent oral and written skills for communication with a wide variety of internal and external sta
