Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

$40.00 - $50.00 per hour

What's a typical day as an Automation Technician II? You'll be:

• Testing, inspecting, adjusting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with dampers, actuators, sensors, valves, and other automation components effectively.

• Identifying mechanical equipment and related automation components on drawings for chillers, boilers, pumps, AHU's, FCU's, VAV's, etc.

• Understanding basic electrical control circuits including 24VAC/DC power and controller input/outputs.
• Collaborating with the service department for ordering replacement materials and ensuring their prompt delivery and installation.

• Preparing schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems for service reports.
• Monitoring, identifying, and diagnosing potential problems using computer workstations and on-site observations.
• Staying updated with industry advancements, incorporating new technologies and best practices into your work to enhance the efficiency of building automation systems.
• Being able-bodied and willing to work rotating weekends and be on call to address emergency service requests promptly.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent experience.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication abilities, ensuring clear and professional interactions with clients and team members.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to identify issues, propose viable solutions, and implement necessary changes.
• Have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, offering technical support to colleagues as needed.
• Are willing to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies within the dynamic field of building automation systems.
• Have a valid driver's license. Will drive company vehicle to different Customer job sites.
