Senior Consultant - Active Directory Certificate Services needed for a 6+ month Contract opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Job Summary:
Our Client is seeking a Senior Consultant with expertise in Communication and Collaboration, specifically focusing on Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS). This role involves managing the full lifecycle of AD CS components, including root and subordinate enterprise certification authorities, certificate templates, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The ideal candidate will be proficient in implementing and managing AD CS certification authorities, certificate enrollment, and revocation processes, as well as handling web and database servers within a VMware environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) Management:
Manage and maintain Active Directory Certificate Services, including Root Enterprise Certification Authorities (Root Ent CA) and Subordinate Enterprise Certification Authorities (Sub Ent CAs).
Design and configure certificate templates for various use cases.
Oversee the entire lifecycle of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and related AD CS components.
Certificate Enrollment and Revocation:
Implement and manage the process of certificate enrollment for users and devices.
Handle certificate revocation processes to ensure security and compliance.
Server Management:
Manage and maintain web servers and database servers critical to AD CS operations.
Utilize VMware for virtualized server environments to optimize performance and scalability.
Communication and Collaboration:
Collaborate with various project and support teams to ensure the successful implementation of AD CS-related initiatives.
Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on complex AD CS issues and configurations.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience with Active Directory Certificate Services, including Root Ent CA, Sub Ent CAs, and certificate templates.
Proficient in managing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and the various components of AD CS.
Strong understanding of the implementation and management of AD CS certification authorities.
Experience in managing certificate enrollment and revocation processes.
Skilled in managing web servers and database servers, with a good grasp of VMware environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5-10 years of experience in Active Directory Certificate Services and related technologies.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate) are a plus.
