We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Software Engineering to lead our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Microsoft Azure DevOps, Azure TFVC, Azure SQL, C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, RESTFUL and SOAP API's. With expertise in developing, and supporting cloud-based, single and multi-tenant SaaS applications that are highly configurable and extensible.
Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid schedule 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and technical leadership in the development and implementation of software solutions.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and efficiency.
Architect scalable and reliable cloud-based SaaS applications using Microsoft Azure and other relevant technologies.
Lead and inspire a diverse team of software engineers, QA's, and Architects builiding a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Mentor and develop team members, guiding technical skills, career growth, and agile methodologies
Implement and optimize agile development processes, including Scrum or Kanban, to maximize team efficiency and product delivery.
Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote continuous improvement and accountability.
Champion agile principles and practices throughout the organization, fostering a culture of agility and adaptability.
Collaborate closely with product management and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and roadmap priorities.
Drive the design, development, and deployment of highly configurable and extensible SaaS applications.
Ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives, focusing on delivering value to our customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years as a VP of Engineering
5+ years in a leadership role within software engineering, with a focus on Entity Framework ASP.NET technologies.
Proven track record of designing, developing, and supporting cloud-based, single and multi-tenant SaaS applications.
Experience running fully agile teams, with a deep understanding of agile methodologies and best practices.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, with a focus on driving innovation and delivering results.
