This is an on-site Production Control Specialist position located in Fairfield, Ohio.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Total Management of internal processes and tools to insure a smooth manufacturing environment for PMO. This includes but is not limited to pre-production activities, support of existing projects, inventory, kanban maintenance, and monitoring suppliers and vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Working within Production Control and with other departments on floor plans, equipment and tools for new and existing projects.
Creating and updating kanban databases for new and existing projects.
Creating kanbans, gate kanbans and inspection pages for all departments.
Control material and component orders insuring accurate and timely deliveries.
Oversee all outsourcing activity.
Ensuring first-time delivery of the requirements to fulfill the customer's order.
Create and develop production planning.
Create, implement, and assist with all kaizen and buildout activities.
Adjust production planning in a timely manner using customer forecast to accommodate customer changes in production.
Kanban Maintenance.
Work within P.C. and with other departments online fill orders, ECI changes.
Ensure smooth flow of ECI changes.
Managing and updating inventory database.
Participating in all inventory activities.
Make the man-hour plan and present it to production.
Ensure that all plant materials are accurate.
Any and all other tasks within the scope of the position as requested by management.
Any other activities as directed by management to support the Production Control Department.
Any other activities as directed by management to support PMO.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Production Control/Manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of the Kanban system.
Proficient in all Microsoft business applications.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Valid State Driver's License.
Ability to operate forklift, hand truck and other equipment required in the handling on materials in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Follow proper lifting techniques.
Willingness to cooperate and work in a strong team environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Ability to lift 32 pounds.
Moderate physical effort is required to move containers
ENVIRONMENAL CONDITIONS
Primarily inside office environment.
Climate controlled.
Occasionally must enter the manufacturing plant with exposure to noise, heat, cold; must wear personal protective equipment (hats, glasses, shoes.).
Kevlar sleeves and gloves will be provided to prevent exposure of steel and weld sparks onto skin.
