Job description
Logic Springs Technologies is looking for a Systems Engineer to join its IT Operations Department. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for working with team members to build and manage Linux and Windows environments. The candidate must have experience with industry best practices or international cybersecurity standards (such as ISO 27001).
This position requires working on-premise in the Logic Springs Technologies office in Lake Mary, Florida and the candidate must be able to commute to the office on all business days. The candidate must be flexible with in-person team collaboration as well as independent work.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct systems planning in accordance with established security procedures and software management best practices
Manage an MDR tool by responding to detections and incidents, monitoring vulnerabilities, and deploying MDR agents to systems
Monitor, manage, and remediate vulnerabilities in accordance with established security procedures
Manage firewall ACLs and profiles in accordance with security best practices
Configure and maintain load balancers for multiple environments
Troubleshoot networking issues
Monitor systems by tracking and responding to alerts from various monitoring tools
Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
Conduct audits for the optimization of performance/uptime
Configure and troubleshoot systems and storage hardware
Manage an event-driven Linux environment that includes web, backend processing, and file services
Maintain a Windows Active Directory environment, including servers, workstations, and domain controllers
Deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems
Research emerging technologies, trends, standards, and products
Participate in on-call rotation to address after-hours system alerts and troubleshooting
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum professional experience as a Systems Engineer: 5 years
Secure systems engineering in accordance with best practices or international standards (e.g., ISO 27001)
