This is a full-time on-site role located in San Juan Capistrano, CA, for a 3D Computer Vision Engineer. The 3D Computer Vision Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing algorithms and models to extract 3D structures from LiDAR data. This includes developing and testing new algorithms and making improvements to existing ones. The 3D Computer Vision Engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, develop customized solutions, and implement innovations and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and optimize algorithms for 3D object detection, classification, and tracking using LiDAR data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into our products and services
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and LiDAR technology
Conduct research and experiments to improve the accuracy and efficiency of 3D object detection models
Contribute to the overall strategy and direction of our AI initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related discipline
Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or CUDA
Experience with LiDAR data and processing of large point clouds
Deep understanding of feature extraction, segmentation methods, and hyper-parameter tuning
Experience with one or more of the following: OpenCV, PCL, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
