Career Transition is supporting an industry leader, looking to add a dynamic Quality Control Manager to their team. This role requires leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality control to ensure product excellence and compliance with industry standards.
What you are doing as a Quality Control Manager:
Managing 2 experienced QC technicians and a Metrologist.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improving inspection methods and enhancing product quality.
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to investigate and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
Train and mentor QC technicians on the proper use, calibration, and maintenance of CMM/ Keyence Vision Systems, as well as best practices for quality control procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements through effective quality control measures and documentation practices.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inspection processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Background needs for a Quality Control Manager:
2 years of experience in quality control in a management position.
Proficiency with gauges, calipers and micrometers.
Exposure to CMM'S a plus.
Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, statistical analysis, and process improvement techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex inspection data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Leadership abilities with experience in supervising or leading a team of QC technicians in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information and inspection results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in quality control processes.
Knowledge of ISO standards, FDA regulations, or other relevant quality management systems.
