Job Description:

Summary: The Manufacturing Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the plant, ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production goals. This role involves managing staff, coordinating production schedules, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency and meet production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage and lead plant staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement and maintain quality control standards and procedures.
  • Manage plant budgets, including cost control and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
  • Handle any operational issues that arise and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present reports on plant performance and production metrics.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve plant operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
