Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Credit Risk Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in bank reporting and analytics, commercial credit analysis, and have the ability to summarize, interpret, and organize data. This role requires a database background with knowledge of SQL or VB, but not necessarily programming skills. A Bachelor's degree is essential, and advanced training or certifications are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough commercial credit analysis and assessments to evaluate the financial health and creditworthiness of clients.
Prepare detailed bank reports and analytics to support credit risk management decisions.
Summarize and interpret complex data, organizing it into clear, actionable insights for senior management.
Utilize database skills, including SQL or VB, to extract and manipulate data for credit risk analysis.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Maintain and update credit risk models and systems.
Monitor and analyze the credit risk portfolio, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in bank reporting and analytics.
At least 1 year of experience in commercial credit analysis.
Rudimentary ability to summarize, interpret, and organize data effectively.
Proficiency in SQL or VB, with a solid database background.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Experience with Sageworks or FiServ CORE DNA.
Demonstrated growth in previous roles, with a strong track record of tenure.
Advanced training or certifications such as an MBA, CFA, Credit Risk Certification, and/or an Appraiser license.
Proficiency in credit analysis tools, including pivot tables and stress analysis techniques.
