Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Production Planner is to ensure that each day's scheduled run of items occurs smoothly within their respective departments. They oversee all material flow to their specific production lines, including work order creation and material transactions. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Planner assists in maintaining a seamless production operation to meet lead time commitments, ensuring timely shipments, notifying the Purchasing team of any inventory discrepancies, and keeping Customer Service informed by updating promise dates and responding to customer requests within 24 hours.

The Senior Production Planner must be detail-oriented, adept at following and adjusting schedules, and capable of resolving issues quickly and appropriately under the guidance of the Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years supervising others

- Ability to read and comprehend English for understanding work instructions and drawings; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

- Excellent communication skills with various departments and levels of management

- Experience with Microsoft Office applications

- Experience with Oracle and a thorough understanding of MRP/ERP systems

- Working knowledge of Supply Chain Management

- Ability to multitask and manage changing business conditions is essential
