Position Summary:

Responsible for the advertising plan for ilani including direct mail, email, on-premises digital, social media, and web. Responsible for working with all internal departments to determine marketing needs. Initiates and tracks creative requests with agencies and vendors to fulfill marketing/advertising/public relations needs. Coordinates and executes promotional requirements and serves as a liaison between marketing departments, operations, external agencies, and affiliated promotional sponsors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • for the coordination of all ilani creative with external advertising agencies as well as supervising outside creative agencies to ensure timely and precise program execution. Programming includes campaign strategy, promotions, special events, and monthly campaigns.
  • for program tracking, and monthly analysis as well as preparing and presenting monthly marketing strategy results in recap to senior management for advertising. Key performance indicators include conversation rates, click-through rates, open rates, etc.
  • with other Senior Marketing Leaders on preparing the annual marketing budget and makes recommendations for short and long-term revenue enhancements.
  • with the other Senior Marketing Leaders on developing and executing ilani's marketing calendar.
  • and manages monthly expense forecasting for the advertising budget to include monthly expense forecasts, mid-month forecasting updates, and month-end close to effectively track expenses and maintain budgetary guidelines.
  • with internal and external stakeholders and executes the ilani sponsorship program for festivals and other areas, including but not limited to, The Stadium Sports Bar & Grill.
  • as liaison between Property, Division, and Brand for Strategic Alliance opportunities with other owned and managed properties.
  • and gives direction to a team to execute ilani's advertising strategy, including but not limited to the Senior Multimedia Designer, Multimedia Design, and Graphic Designer.
  • with external public relations agencies on media communication plans including press releases and media alerts.
  • with and gives direction to ilani's marketing team members to ensure consistent communication strategy across all components of marketing, including but not limited to internal and external advertising.
  • with gives direction to Mohegan Gaming's marketing team to ensure consistent communication strategy across all components of marketing, including but not limited to internal and external advertising, direct mail, social media, and online marketing.
  • and proofreads all material for accuracy of content, grammar, and brand guidelines.
  • with the VP of Marketing on the approval of all advertising assets.
  • and monitors all in-house signage and print collateral inventory.
  • media tours, and photo/video escorts and coordinates event photography.
  • confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Economics, or Finance, and/or five (5) years of progressive Marketing experience, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • three (3) years of experience as a manager/supervisor of a functional area with multiple FTEs in one or more of the following disciplines: Advertising, Casino Marketing, Database Marketing, Direct Marketing, Marketing/Mass Media.
  • possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
  • skills in managing multiple project timelines with an external advertising, creative, or digital-direct mail agency.
  • knowledge of graphic design including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
  • with graphic scheduling software.
  • experience with Microsoft products/programs including, but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
  • working with media communications.
  • managing budgets and forecasting.
  • knowledge of Bally's CMP is required.
  • written and oral communication.
  • to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on company demands.
  • be able to lift, pull, bend, stand and walk for extended periods.
  • possess a valid Driver's License.
  • be willing to work in a smoking environment.
  • be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
