The Design and Print Specialist is responsible to uphold the our brand throughout the entire organization by collaborating with all departments to ensure design and printed materials reflect the standards set by the Panorama Brand Manual. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and focus on service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide the highest quality design and print materials available to departments on campus
Collaborate with Marketing team to ensure consistency and quality of brand colors, graphics and layout
Manage paper stock inventory fulfillment processes for the organization. Anticipate special inventory needs for various projects
Analyze and prepare digital files for optimal print quality
Collaborate with vendors for ordering, printing and mailing as needed.
Maintain printing equipment. Coordinate with service vendors as needed
Prepare and format documents for ADA compliance
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Formal training in graphic design preferred
Experience:
Minimum of one years' experience preparing digital material for printing, including pre-flight and graphic file analysis
Experience with in-house printing.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with photography or photo editing preferred
Experience with bulk mailing, mailing sizes, weight and logistics preferred
Copy writing and editing skills preferred
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Work requires high attention and mental demands, including the ability to prioritize and process information with accuracy and clarity. This position requires the ability to stand and walk frequently, while fingering, grasping, reaching, stretching, reaching out and overhead, kneeling and stooping. The position also has the opportunity to sit frequently. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. will occur on a regular basis; lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs. will occur on an occasional basis. The position will operate a computer and keyboard, printing machines, drill press, and industrial paper cutter on a regular basis. The position will be exposed to hazardous materials and chemicals used in printing on a regular basis and to hazardous equipment on a regular basis. Adopting safe work practices in handling these hazards is required.
