We are seeking a Product Application Specialist with experience in the refrigeration industry to design and manage custom refrigeration solutions for our clients. This role involves working closely with consulting engineers, customers, and sales teams to determine specifications, select appropriate equipment, and ensure successful project completion from quotation to installation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
Job Details:
Consultation and Design:
Work with consulting engineers, customers, and outside sales to determine requirements and specifications.
Generate refrigeration legend sheets/specifications using proprietary software.
Calculate refrigeration requirements for display cases and walk-in coolers/freezers.
Determine and select appropriate system/equipment (compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls, accessories).
Calculate quotation prices based on job requirements and competitive situations.
Order and Project Management:
Receive and process manufacturing orders.
Collaborate with finance, materials group, production engineering, manufacturing, and field services from quote to installation.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues post-delivery.
Work with the shipping department to resolve customer-related issues.
Customer and Vendor Relations:
Assist customers with remodel requirements, suggesting new equipment or field modifications.
Maintain contact with customers to determine service requirements.
Ensure customer satisfaction by adhering to service level agreements.
Liaise between vendors, engineering contractors, customers, and internal parties.
Enhance client relationships through proactive and positive communication.
Sales and Product Support:
Deliver consultative selling and drive customer demand shaping.
Seek opportunities to deliver more value through alternate designs.
Support Sales and Product Management in relationship development.
Assist Product Management and Product Engineering in product rationalization and portfolio definition.
Train the Sales community on products and design efficient processes.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, value creation, and process efficiency.
Embody customer-centricity and advocate for the customer across their journey.
Requirements:
High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience in the refrigeration industry.
Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience in the refrigeration industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business.
Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings.
Experience in the restaurant and retail sales market.
Knowledge of manufacturing or experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) at an advanced beginner to intermediate level.
Location:
Conyers, GA
Qualified candidates must be in office 5 days a week during the training period. Moving to a 3-4 day onsite hybrid schedule once fully onboarded.
