Job Purpose/Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the mechanical design, coordination, implementation and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with customer expectations, company strategy, commitments and goals. This involves frequent communications with sales, Process Team Manager, suppliers/vendors and the end user. In this role, the Mechanical Design Engineer will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
  • Be an integral part of the Design Group with responsibility for generation of system layout, isometric, and equipment detail drawings and specifications.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs by proactively managing changes in project scope and identifying potential issues that would effect project completion.
  • Create, execute and maintain a detailed project schedule, complete bill of material, and cost data.
  • Document and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Assist sales in the early stage of bid proposals by generating cost estimates and preliminary drawings.
  • Provide technical and design support to production team as required to assure timely and technical acceptable solutions to questions and issues.

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Highly proficient in Solidworks

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
