The Senior Staff Accountant for a global manufacturing company in North Miami will be responsible for overseeing and executing a variety of accounting tasks, including financial reporting, general ledger management, and compliance. This position requires extensive experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics, and a strong understanding of accounting principles within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Coordinate with the external auditors for annual audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Prepare and file regulatory reports and tax filings as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and financial objectives.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
Utilize Microsoft Dynamics ERP system to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with cost accounting and inventory management is a plus.
