Trident Consulting is looking for a Virtualization Engineer/ Architect to join our team
Role: Virtualization Engineer/ Architect
Location: Los Altos CA (Onsite)
Type: Contract to hire
Key Responsibilities:
Storage and Virtualization Migration:
Lead and guide the team in assessing and integrating new storage and virtualization technologies.
Participate in the renewal process for VMware, Pure Storage, and Rubrik, evaluating potential integration and migration options.
Handle support requests related to storage and virtualization, providing Tier 3 support and escalating issues to VMware/Broadcom as needed.
Focus on migration experience with any one of these (Pure Storage, NetApp, Nutanix, HPE, Cloudian, and VMware.)
Systems Support:
Provide higher-level problem resolution for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.
Assist the Tier 1 team with complex issues and mentor them as needed.
Set up and configure Active Directory from scratch, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Network Support:
Support network-related tasks, including Juniper switch upgrades.
Provide lower-priority network support as needed, ensuring smooth network operations.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Work closely with IT management, senior leadership, and researchers to understand their needs and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in storage and virtualization migration, specifically with Pure Storage, NetApp, Nutanix, HPE, Cloudian, and VMware.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle Tier 3 support requests for storage and virtualization.
Experience with VMware/Broadcom escalation support.
Proficiency in managing and supporting Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.
Hands-on experience setting up and configuring Active Directory from scratch.
Knowledge of Juniper switch upgrades and general network support.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside IT management and senior leadership.
A proactive, go-getter attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to help others.
