Williams Consulting, LLC is a leading organization dedicated to improving public health outcomes through innovative initiatives and programs. We are seeking a dynamic Public Health Project Director to lead strategic initiatives within a federal agency aimed at eliminating health equity and enhancing quality of care through innovative public health programs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to advance public health objectives, focusing on health equity, quality improvement and population management
  • Manage the implementation of a complex public health project from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with agency goals and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines that support health equity, address social determinants of health, and enhance healthcare delivery systems
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in public health program management
  • Utilize data analytics and evidence-based practices to inform decision-making, monitor project performance, and evaluate outcomes
  • Oversee project activities and resources, monitor progress, and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure timely project delivery
  • Conduct regular evaluations and prepare comprehensive reports on project progress, outcomes achieved, and lessons learned for dissemination to internal and external stakeholders
  • Review Project team's work products to ensure quality, public health/scientific rigor, best practices, and compliance with customer/stakeholder requirements
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, research, and best practices in public health, incorporating new knowledge into program strategies and activities
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Experience
  • Master's degree in public health, health administration or a related field required; Doctoral degree preferred
  • Federal contracting experience required
  • Certification in Public Health or other relevant certifications is a plus
  • 10 + years of experience in Public Health program management with a strong focus on disparities in health care access, quality, and outcomes that impact minority and underserved communities
  • Strong understanding of social determinants of health, cultural competence, health equity frameworks and strategies for addressing disparities within populations
  • Knowledge of public health policies, practices, and systems
  • In-depth understanding of federal statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a high performing team
  • Strong strategic planning, project management, and budget management skills
  • Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be highly detail-oriented with the ability to pivot to meet emerging needs
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and managing partner relations
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project) and Adobe
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and a positive work ethic in all situations
  • Ability to respond effectively to changing events and competing priorities
  • Background investigation required

Working Conditions and Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Standing, sitting, squatting, and other normal office-related physical activities are required. Must be able to sit and read computer screens for extended periods.
