The ideal candidate would enjoy process improvement, problem solving, working with ERP systems, and collaborating with others. While this role offers an engaging variety of tasks in all areas of quality assurance, the primary purpose of this onsite position is to lead our quality assurance initiatives by overseeing the daily operations of our Quality Assurance Department while managing our QMS and ISO program.

We are ISO 13485 certified and have about 40 employees.

Compensation based on experience. $95,000 - $125,000 which includes a metric performance bonus. Regular hours are Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. which includes a 30 minute lunch.

Scope of Work:
  • Oversee daily operations of the Quality Assurance Department and its personnel to ensure all internal quality needs are performed to OTP's highest standards in a timely manner.
  • Actively and daily engage with the production floor to ensure all areas of the plant are running efficiently and are meeting safety and quality standards.
  • Provide a road map for the future of the plant's quality initiatives and execute on process improvements to firmly establish a culture of excellence.
  • Play an active role in the design and implementation of robust manufacturing processes that are aligned with best practices.
  • Identify and resolve the root cause of quality problems by working with internal staff, customers and vendors and by providing training when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and be a point of contact for customer queries regarding quality. Help investigate and resolve concerns in a prompt and responsive manner. As needed, coordinate Company's internal resources to meet customer's needs.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Company's ISO program to build a culture of excellence, to ensure the highest standard of products, and to safeguard continued certification.
  • Develop quality assurance inspection plans by identifying critical control points and preventative measures, establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions and verification procedures.
  • Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification, and writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Actively work with the management team to ensure all team members are trained and able to meet quality objectives.
  • Maintain all quality documentation, manage calibration program, and update all department paperwork in an orderly and timely manner.

Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' management or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485.
  • Must understand and accurately utilize all measuring equipment/processes (ECO, MRB, CAPA)

  • Comfortable guiding the organization in the design and implementation of best practice standards that ensure Company's ability to produce predictable units of value.
  • Experience with ISO and confidence overseeing all aspects of the Company's QMS and ISO program.
  • Detailed, team-oriented, and well organized.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must be able to read drawings and understand plastic injection mold making jargon.
  • Demonstrate trouble shooting and problem solving skills along with strong judgment capabilities.
  • Able to work independently and as a team member to achieve common goals.
  • Able to identify and act upon opportunities to add value to customer relationships.
  • Able to follow directions and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
