Environmental Scientist at AGEISS Inc. in Minot, North Dakota

Job Description:

We are looking to place mid-level environmental scientist. The candidate will support the Air Force’s Environmental Compliance Program on-site at Minot AFB, ND.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support of Hazardous Material (HM) and Hazardous Waste (HW) programs.
• Stormwater and wastewater sampling / reporting.
• Assist with compilation of monthly reporting of office activities.
• Review technical documents.
• Conduct and schedule field activities.
• Records management of environmental documents.
• Customer support including answering phones and emails.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or other relevant area.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as an Environmental Professional possessing strong knowledge of the Air Force Environmental Compliance Programs.
• Thorough knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, stormwater planning, and local/state/federal compliance requirements.
• Environmental compliance experience in the areas of hazardous waste and materials, stormwater, wastewater, and air quality.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is required and can be provided if not already obtained.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications (Word and Excel) is required.
• Ability to successfully pass a Federal agency background check is required.
• Individuals already possessing an adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) are preferred as well as prior Air Force experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
