Job Description:

Position Summary

Supports Sales department utilizing ACROSS database. Utilizes ERP system to purchase finished goods from suppliers as assigned, based on planned inventory levels in support of operations.

What You’ll Do:


  1. Supports Sales in creating sales forecast and plan templates for Strategic Planning Manager

  2. ACROSS database support for monthly reporting and master data updates

  3. Monitors allocation sheets and updates against closed customer orders

  4. Reviews requisitions for assigned suppliers and products

  5. Prepares purchase orders for assigned products and sends to suppliers

  6. Confirms purchase order receipt with supplier, confirms pricing and schedule in ERP system

  7. Contacts suppliers to, expedite deliveries, to resolve shortages, and other issues

  8. Monitors planned inventory levels for assigned products

  9. Reviews inventory levels, to determine necessary quantities, and purchase assigned items.

  10. Assure presence of adequate inventory levels based on historical and planned stock levels

  11. Adheres to purchasing budget for assigned products/suppliers

  12. Under direction, assists in determining inventory levels

  13. Monitors supplier performance, reports issues and recommendations for improvement

  14. Maintains purchasing records in accordance with document retention policy

  15. Requests quotes as needed for products and services

  16. Registers products in IFS database in accordance with approved specifications

  17. Travels to showrooms to facilitate inventory bi-annual audit as assigned

  18. Assists in resolving claims with suppliers to recover inventory investment

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:  Office Environment. 

 

Physical Demands: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. 

Monday – Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM

Travel: Less than 25% Travel.  Yearly visits to US showrooms for inventory.

Required Education and Experience: Education equivalent to four years of college.  Four years’ experience.
