Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Equipment Services Workplace Coach (Level 4) to join the Fabrication Equipment Services team based out of Auburn or Puyallup, Washington.

In this role, you will help develop technical skills and strengthen our new/existing workforce by leading New Onboarding, Standard on-the-job Training, and cross-training efforts. You will also Support Equipment Reliability initiatives to improve Safety, Quality, and Performance by leading workshops using the Boeing Problem-Solving Model. This is an excellent opportunity to continue the transformation of Equipment Services.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead New On-Hire Boarding.
  • Standard On-The-Job Training and Cross training for new & existing employees.
  • Lead Equipment Reliability Workshops using BPSM to improve Safety, Quality, and Performance.
  • Leads complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles, processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers.
  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria.
  • Analyzes and interprets data.
  • Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk.
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives.
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans.
  • Works under minimal direction.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.
  • 3+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading teams.
  • Experience testing and diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical components, and test equipment.
  • Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Ability to work around electromagnetic fields as a result of various types of production equipment
  • 3+ years of electronic/electrical experience in any of the following fields: machine tool maintenance, industrial electronic and/or electrical maintenance field, or military electronic/electrical system maintenance.
  • 1+ years of experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC).


Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $100,300 - $130,100
