Jaxon is looking for a Part-Time Asst. (Alternate) Facility Security Officer for our Colorado Springs headquarters. This role will support the Facility Security Officer (FSO). The right candidate will be detail oriented and can work independently.

The company is a distinguished leader in Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) hardening and survivability. Jaxon evaluates and designs EMP systems and facilities and delivers quality technical services to our Department of Defense and Commercial customers.

This role will support the Facility Security Officer (FSO). The right candidate will be detail oriented and will submit outgoing visit requests, vehicle, equipment, and media letters. They will also process classified documents for delivery to the customer, among other security and administrative tasks.

Salary Range: $27.00- $34.00 per hour (20-30 hours per week)

Security Clearance REQUIRED: An active Dept. of Defense Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Primary Duties

• Perform new employee security orientation and send out required security trainings and Standard Practices and Procedures
• Log all security trainings and personal foreign travel
• Enter new employees into DISS and NBIS
• Submit visit requests, EALs, Media, equipment and vehicle authorizations for approval. Follow up with sites to ensure confirmation is received
• Process classified documents and delivery to customer.
• Maintain strong, professional relationships with both internal & external customers.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective written and oral communication for coordination.
• Proficient in using Microsoft office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated with good problem-solving ability.
• Strong ability to build effective working relationships.
• Dept. of Defense Secret security clearance
