Job Summary
Sorts, inspects, logs, receives and delivers packages and other items to campus departments and offices. This position will assist the Central Receiving Coordinator and assistant with the delivery of freight and packages to the campus and assist in clerical work. Will operate a forklift to unload freight or load freight for returns. Occasionally will receive purchase orders into PeopleSoft system. Delivery worker will operate a forklift, golf cart and state vehicle. Position will involve working with individuals with diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
Processes - 95
Receives, inspects, and files documentation for packages and freight received. Sorts and distributes incoming packages to be delivered on campus. Keeps work area and warehouse orderly, clean, and safe; ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies. Performs duties such as answering telephones and prepares email correspondences. Must be trained to assist in receiving assets in GCSU's financial system. Operates forklift to load and unload freight. Works with internal and external customers.

Performs other duties as assigned. Assist Moving Services as needed to move furniture/equipment and set/breakdown events.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; AND at least one year of experience
Required Experience
One year of related delivery worker experience to include the handling and care of packages
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Forklift certified.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Ability to drive a forklift.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to be trained to effectively assist in receiving assets in GCSU's financial system.
