Application Support Manager
Are you a natural problem solver? Do you have a unique combination of technical expertise in application software? Are you a self-starter that recognizes challenges and loves to bring solutions rather than just problems?
Under the supervision of the Director of USC Housing Facilities Operations and Maintenance, the Application Support Manager will provide strategic oversight to the success in implementation, evolution and maintenance of mission-unique software applications within Facilities. This energetic leader ensures that strategic goals, change management, and support activities are clearly aligned with departmental and institutional priorities with evolving system support methodologies to assist in meeting increasing demand from users and key stakeholders. This position is responsible for identifying and recommending process improvements and building data visualizations for administration to see, understand, and act on. Assisting the Director in setting program standards for planning, tracking, change control, risk management, user training, and communication within the systems. This position serves as the primary liaison between Facilities and USC’s Division of Information Technology department and external system’s technology teams.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Program Management (administrator for software applications such as AutoCAD, AssetWorks, and FAMIS)
Software Management (Developing program standards)
Training of all software systems utilized in Housing Facilities

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field and 4 or more years of experience, or Associate Degree in Information Technology related and 6 or more years of experience, or equivalence
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience in a related field
Experience with common software utilized by University Facilities Departments (PeopleSoft, FAMIS, PowerBI, ESRI, ArcGIS)
Ability to write JAVA scripts and/or computer coding
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
The ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations. Manage work and provide guidance to employees. Ability to make presentations and prepare reports. Ability to resolve problems and communicate outcomes, able to interpret plans and interact with various levels of personnel. Ability to use technology, problem solve and utilize conscious decision making. Written and verbal communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems. Ability to be responsible for providing technical support on departmental IT needs.
