**This position is a remote, potentially hybrid, but must reside within the western US within our operational areas.
Position Overview
As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the procurement team, implementing sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, enhance supplier performance with focus in facilitating procurement of Production Equipment and the related Maintenance and Services thereof. You will conduct strategic sourcing activities supporting Americas Materials West Division objectives for value-driven vendor partnerships and focused on risk management, reliability, and cost-control.
Under the direction of the Category Manager, and in direct support of West Division Operations, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist will work with two categories, 1) Production Equipment and 2) Maintenance & Production Services.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in supplier identification, selection, negotiations, and contract preparation using structured processes.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define material, quality and service requirements and standards.
Support vendor partnerships and monitor performance using established KPI's, goals, and scorecards.
Integrate new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials.
Review market intelligence and analysis to anticipate price fluctuations.
Analyze current spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing activities.
Working closely with the Company's technical and business resources to incorporate local requirements into program development and drive the Company's sustainability and innovation objectives.
Ensuring cost, availability, sustainability, innovation, and quality within the categories
Ensuring compliance with procurement process, SOX and other statutory requirements within own categories
Developing and managing relationship with key suppliers in the categories
Desired Education and Experience
Three (3) or more years of Procurement experience
Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, technical or related field, is preferred.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Negotiation & contracting skills
Cost analysis skills, using programs such as excel
Financial and Business acumen
Decision making/strategic thinking.
Project management skills
Collaborating in cross a regional/functional team
Source to pay process, supplier quality, product lifecycle management.
Excellent market information analysis skills and supply market knowledge

Compensation & Company Benefits:
Base Salary: $85,000-$100,000/year
