SUMMARY:



The Product Manager develops long-term and short-term strategies for our Retail Branded Bacon business that will achieve corporate profit, volume, and share objectives.



Duties:

• Develop and implement short- and long-term business objectives and volume plans for assigned categories reflecting overall corporate goals.


• Monitor performance measurements to ensure volume and profit are tracking against goals and recommend and implement corrective actions.


• Develop and seamlessly execute business plans to deliver against category financial and share objectives.


• Develop pricing and promotional strategies that delivers both volume and profit objectives.


• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop media and shopper marketing plans that drive volume and key equity metrics.


• Help drive development of new product introductions, packaging graphics for new products, and communication to Sales.


• Analyze data to identify insights and translate them into business initiatives and actionable tasks to drive results.


• Develop a strong understanding and technical competencies of Tyson systems and processes .


• Engage and lead cross-functional teams for assigned projects.


• Monitor industry trends, market share, and competitive activity.


• Work hand-in-hand with the sales organization to understand and integrate customer strategies into business plans.


• Proactively work with Sales and Planning partners to ensure forecast accuracy.


• Proactively work with Planning partners to ensure optimal production and inventory levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Education: Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.


• 
  Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods products marketing. Proven track record in managing and meeting volume and profit targets.
