Job Description:

Nemours is seeking a Medical Staff Coordinator (Remote) to join our Nemours Children's Health team.

The PPE Coordinator of Medical and Professional Staff Services facilitates the medical staff's compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. The coordinator provides support for the Medical Executive Committees as demonstrated through agenda development, meeting facilitation, documentation, and follow-up. The coordinator also supports the medical staff officers in fulfillment of their duties. The coordinator is responsible for the compliance of policies and privileges and maintains reports for expired documents. The coordinator is responsible for on-going development and carrying out of medical staff orientation in conjunction with the Director of the Medical Staff Office. The coordinator interacts with members of the medical staff, hospital administration, practice administration and corporate management. The coordinator participates in development of budget preparation and is accountable for managing expenses within the department.

The Medical Staff PPE Coordinator will work directly with the PPE Analyst to provide consultation, facilitation, education and data analysis support to promote continuous improvement of patient safety and patient outcomes through the professional practice program (FPPE). Provides support to the Medical Staff in the development, documentation, and follow-up of the FPPE Review processes.

Responsibilities:

The Medical Staff PPE Coordinator will be responsible for the establishment and management of the hospital-wide Professional Practice Evaluation (PPE) process (FPPE) for all licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs) utilizing screening criteria for monitoring and evaluation of clinical and professional performance.


  • Facilitates FPPE, and Peer Review activities of the hospital.
  • Coordinates review activities with medical staff leaders, written and oral communication with reviewers, management of highly sensitive information and other duties as directed by the Director of Medical Staff Services.
  • Assists and provides direction for the development of medical staff clinical indicators with which to monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services rendered by practitioners.
  • Maintains documentation of findings and outcomes in the secure data reporting system
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements, state and federal statutes, and medical bylaws, rules, and policies.
  • Provides information and education on the FPPE process to medical staff as necessary.
  • Identifies organizational process improvement opportunities.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned by supervisor.


Requirements

  • High Schood Diploma required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience required.
  • Five (5) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of an Associate's Degree.
