Instructional & Classroom Support Tech 2 - ManufacturingSalary: $21.26 - $28.55Classification: Part-Time/Hourly
Olympic College is recruiting to fill a part-time hourly position for an Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 2 for the Composites Shop. This position supports instructors in the classroom and during shop activities. This position performs professional and/or technical support activities involving the use of technical and/or academic knowledge, materials and techniques.Essential Functions



  • Prepare equipment and materials for class and/or shop projects.

  • Assist instructor(s) with lecture and/or shop materials.

  • Receive materials and supplies used in classes.

  • Assist instructor in demonstration of tools, equipment, methods, and materials.

  • Set up and clean up for classes/shop activities

  • Assist with maintenance of shop equipment and resources.

  • Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Six (6) months industrial shop experience or equivalent academic lab/shop experience.

  • Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CAD/CAM experience

  • Advanced level student or graduate of the Composites or Precision Machining programs

  • Experience working at a community college

Terms of Employment

Hourly employees must work 480 hours in a rolling six-month period to become eligible for health benefits. Hourly employees must work 70 hours in any five months for two consecutive years to become eligible for retirement. This is an hourly position scheduled to work up to 18 hours per week, with a salary of $21.26. They are not initially eligible for benefits upon hire but could qualify for the following. Deferred Compensation Program (DRS) retirement savings plan; TIAA supplemental retirement savings plan, sick leave, paid holidays, Aflac, space available tuition waiver, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), fitness center, reduced rate, and priority consideration on-site childcare on a space available.
