  • Customer service experience in an office setting with high-volume phone/email traffic.

  • Experience in written and verbal communication with internal and external contacts.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to successfully collaborate with others.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks.

  • Ability to research, analyze, and problem solve.

  • Intermediate skill working with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.

  • Working knowledge of basic general accounting and auditing principles.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends during peak periods.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working with the Banner student information system.

  • Experience working with the Touchnet payment system.

  • Experience working in SAP for processing personnel actions, travel requests or purchase requisitions.


Job Description:

The Administrative Assistant III position provides administrative and general clerical support to the Director and Student Business Services staff. In addition, the position provides assistance to by phone, in-person, and by e-mail with questions or concerns regarding Student Business Services (SBS) or university related processes, procedures, or policies.


Job Duties:



  • Provide direct administrative support to the Director of SBS and general clerical support to SBS office staff

  • Serve as time administrator; monitor time entry and approvals.

  • Process PCRs; maintain personnel records and confidential files.

  • Monitor departmental budget and reconcile monthly.

  • Prepare purchase requisitions, NPOs; process invoices; maintain office supplies and inventory.

  • Create and process travel applications and reimbursements for departmental staff.

  • Compose, type, and proofread official correspondence, forms, and reports.

  • Schedule meetings and update Director's calendar as needed; prepare meeting agendas and minutes.

  • Collect and distribute mail and drop box contents daily to appropriate area within department.

  • Organize and maintain departmental storage according to retention policies.

  • Provide customer service assistance by phone, email, or in-person.

  • Assist with the SBS electronic mailbox and respond to e-mails.

  • Perform research and provide information as requested.

  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
