Are you an experienced Industrial Engineer with a passion for optimizing warehousing and distribution operations? Join our client's team as a Senior Industrial Engineer and lead transformative initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness in their logistics operations! This is a full-time direct hire position with our client.
Position: Senior Industrial Engineer (Warehousing and Distribution)
Lead the design and implementation of process improvement initiatives to optimize warehousing and distribution operations.
Conduct data analysis, time studies, and capacity planning to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
Develop and implement layout designs, material flow strategies, and inventory management systems to maximize space utilization and throughput.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Utilize engineering principles and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to streamline workflows and eliminate waste.
Evaluate technology solutions and automation opportunities to enhance productivity and accuracy in warehousing processes.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and operational staff.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field/experience.
Progressive, proven experience in industrial engineering roles within warehousing, distribution, or supply chain operations.
Minimum of 2 years of Leadership experience
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and distribution center operations.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and other software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Access, AutoCAD).
Demonstrated success in leading process improvement projects using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
