Job Description: To provide technical leadership and guidance for the department. To insure quality, costs, and productivity of processes and operations are maintained, controlled, and optimized. Incumbent plans and directs activities for the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for the department.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Knowledge and Education:
B.S. degree in engineering, material science or chemical, or equivalent technical discipline
Ability to apply statistical methodology to process control and problem solving
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
Experience with statistical software systems
Roles and Responsibilities:

Participate in daily process operations by analyzing process data, reviewing data collection, and observing work practices to determine if current process operations meet established quality and HSE standards and meet the requirements of the process.
Monitor and adjust casting controls based on operational factors
Based off data, propose and execute experiments to improve product quality and/or reduce costs
Monitor, coordinate and provide technical support for process/production control/reliability of casting department
To develop, document, and update all SWP's and Technical procedures for the department. Determine and review process quality control plan and procedures of regular processes and irregular events.
Identify all key process parameters, and critical factors. Conduct process studies to improve/optimize quality, costs, and efficiencies of processes.
Coordinate selection, quantity and scheduling of materials with purchasing department to ensure appropriate inventory for department activities.
Support department crew leaders and technical staff during absences and vacation.
