Roles and Responsibilities: • Coordinate the design process and act as a conduit between the engineers, database teams, VDC team, and construction team to facilitate central design. • Primary responsibilities would involve requesting POC assignments and electrical circuits with the database team. • Work with client engineers to review drawings and provide insight on constructability. • Conduct field walks to verify POC availability and lead design kick-off walks. • Coordinate with the construction team to create design schedules and lead field walks. • Assist in reviewing 3D models against intended design.
Position Requirements and Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in a BIM/CAD design role with large complex projects. • Knowledge of computer systems and their applications. Interface with Building Information Modelling (BIM). • Experience in construction installation practices in piping, electrical or dry mechanical (sheet metal). • Experience with the following platforms preferred:
- Revit
- AutoCAD
- Plant 3D
- Navisworks Manage
- Autodesk Construction Cloud
- BIM 360
- BIM Track • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and regulations. • Extensive knowledge of standard BIM practices, techniques, and procedures.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
